Quick service, but there was only two other people when we arrived lol food was good, my favorite was the honey walnut shrimp lady that everyone keeps referring to, seems to just keep to herself, which is fine. She was nice to us and provided everything we needed and asked for quickly. Prices are fair, good portion sizes, would recommend.

Great food, good prices, with lots to choose from. Many rice and noodle dishes, along with several dishes you'd typically only find in San Gabriel Valley.

My brother has been telling me to try this restaurant and today he treated us for lunch. The place and ambiance is okay. Overall, it is clean, including the restroom. But we came here for the food and it is amazing. The taste, the serving size, the freshness is all good. This is one of my favorite spots now for Chinese food. Similar to Sam Woo (no longer in business) in Nogales and Gale Ave. Definitely coming back for more.

Food was really good and prices are a great deal. The service was a kind of slow on a week night. Seems like there were only two employees working. I would definitely order takeout from here and it seems like that's what many customers did while we were eating there.

We try to go once a week, but have been lax lately. Still the best HK cuisine in the area, and service to boot~ even when tour buses stop in and fill up the place, smaller parties still get service really quickly.

After coming for yrs, somewhat surprised to notice a slight attitude like we're not the preferred people she wanted to walk in.. sadly..but our food was absolutely amazing as usual!

I used to live in the area about 4 years ago, we visited family for the holidays and decided to get some food on our way home. I was upset to see that a lot of my favorite places closed down or no longer existed. I am extremely pleased that this place was still here. I would come for the xiao long bao alone, but noticed they expanded their menu quite a bit from what I remembered all those years ago. The xiao long bao is still exceptional. It takes a bit to get to your table, but it's worth the wait every time. The pork belly with preserved vegetables is a traditional dish that my chinese born husband remembers fondly and their version made him and myself very happy. It's melt in your mouth delicious! The XO sauce noodles we ordered were scrumptious, easily the best noodles of its type I've ever had. We were sadly too full for the clay pot curry, but that was absolutely delicious too. We took it home and had it the next day. Thank you for the delicious food and good memories. :)

January 23 update: Soup of the day is star of the show again. Very deep flavor. For the uninitiated, Cantonese soup are almost always slow simmered for hours, and are taken as a mild health tonic not too different in concept from bone broth. That's why it's different every day. Obviously hot dry days and cold wet time you'll want something different. Today is green vegetable and pork neck bones with sweet dates. Firmly recommended. An off menu item was the bamboo leaf wrapped rice dumplings. These are a meal in itself. Take home to simmer in water about 15-20 minutes to heat through, although contents are cooked. To serve unwrap and sprinkle soy sauce to taste. Recommended because it's substantially better and cheaper than what's available in ranch 99. Clay pot rice was fair to good. A layer of crispy crust formed on the pot . Braised pork belly was very good to excellent. Melt in the mouth meat and good seasoning. Sweet and sour pork and poached chicken was above average. Not much wrong but no fireworks, plenty of others offer similar fare. Shrimp chow fun in runny egg sauce fair to good. The sauce was delicious. Singaporean fried vermicelli and braised soft noodles are average. The former too enthusiastic with the curry powder and the latter a little underseasoned. Depends on what you like. Overall recommended. Even with post covid prices it's still great value. Still cheaper than sgv. Original review: Soup of the day and fried noodles my favorite.
